FLOWERS is a wood works shop located in Onoaida, Yakushima.

You can find lovely art works or accessories made of Yakushima cedar.

 

屋久島の尾之間にある、FLOWERS。

屋久杉で作られた素敵な雑貨やアクセサリーが並ぶ。

A shop is established together with a studio.

工房の横にショップが併設されている。

Their expressions are beyond description._somehow funny and somehow cute.

表情がなんともいえない。

Looks like imported works, but actually all of them in this shop are made by the owner couple.

輸入雑貨のようなヨーロピアンテイストのものもあったり。
どの作品も、オーナーご夫妻が作られているそう。

They are called " Yakushima cedar people".
What charming people they are!

屋久杉のヒトたち という作品。
なんとも味のある風貌。

Every character is surreal and loveable.
Once you find the warmth of wood works, they will melt your heart instantly.

どれもシュールだけどにくめない、かわいらしいキャラクターばかり。

木のあたたかみとあいまって、見ているだけでもほっこり和む。

mofgmona no zakka ~Okinawa~

 

            

I went to Okinawa for short trip. 

"mofgmona no zakka "is one of my favorite shop located at Ginowan city. It is a select shop of pottery which is made by Okinawa artists.

They have an excellent taste in choosing. The select is sense in unity even there are various kind of touch. 

 お盆休みに一泊二日の弾丸で沖縄へ。

今では沖縄の器のセレクトショップも那覇を中心に増えたけど、mofgmona no zakka(モフモナ ノ ザッカ)はその草分け的存在だ。

作風がそれぞれ全く異なる作家さんを集めているのに、セレクトの統一感と確かさにはいつも驚かされる。

それぞれの工房では買えない、作家さんとmofgmonaオリジナルの商品もあるらしい。

作品を生かした展示の美しさも、毎回参考になる。

今回は新しく移転した場所に、初訪問してみた。

Parking area is so Okinawa taste!

Here is the signboard written" You are almost there.You can overlook the sea from the roof."

沖縄らしいコンクリートのビルの３階にお店がある。

階段の踊り場にはこんな看板が。

屋上からは宜野湾の海が見渡せる。

    

It's Naomichi Sato's work. 

I love its pastel color n simplicity. 


注目の作家・佐藤尚理さんの器。

パステルカラーの優しい色合いと、土っぽさがたまらん。

These are Okinawa glasses such as Seiten,Hizuki,Lobsto and Ruri. 


日月や清天、ロブストや彩砂(るり)の琉球ガラスたち。

The potteries made by Hideaki Itou -"Namakemono Koubou".

 I often use his dishes cauz it is simple to use.


ナマケモノ工房の伊藤さんの作品。

伊藤さんのは、持った感じとか口あたりがちょうど良くて、我が家でも登場回数が多い。

They serve tea and sweets to customer using Okinawan works.

It's nice service as we can feel the touch of works like our own home.

 I want to coordinate dishes with food like clothes. It's makes me feel more bright! 


清天のぽってりグラス。

お店に入るとお茶とわらび餅でもてなしてくれた。器って使ってなんぼだから、実際の使用感もわかってこれは嬉しい。

毎日の食事も、服を選ぶみたいに器とコーディネートすることで、気持ちも食卓もちょっと華やかになる。

器ばかり増えていくけど、料理の腕もあげないとな〜！

Micoco

多肉植物が気になる~Succulent plants~

What I bought at Fujino Art village. Both potteries and plants are so pretty! I couldn't make a choice between them .  

ふじのアートヴィレッジで買ったものはこの二つ。器も、植えられてるぷくぷくの多肉植物も、どっちもかわいすぎる。どちらか一つに選べなくて結局二つ購入。 

毎日愛でている。母性本能をこんなとこで消費している場合ではない。

　　　　　　　

葉っぱのふちに出来た芽がが落ちて、そこからまた増えていくんだって。

土の上にほっといたら、勝手に根が出るとか。水やりも１週間に１回だけ。何てたくましく、いじらしいこと！

　　　　　　　　　

They sell Handiwork made by local artists at Fujino Art village.

ふじのアートビレッジ内の様子。地元作家の作品が色々売られている。多肉植物に気をとられて他の店を見られなかったから、またゆっくり来たいな。

Micoco

Jewerly tray from Florence

　　I found this tray at some shop in Florence, where I stopped by to find "typical touristic" souvenirs. When you could bump into someone you like, that would make you happy double than you meet her or him with an appointment. Your favourite items will do the same.

I liked the combination of gold and turquoise colour. It was handmaded in Italy. I did not expect to find handmade items, so that was a happy coincidence.

Everytime when I pick up/put on my watch and jewerlies, the memory in Florence runs through my head.

フィレンツェを旅行中に入ったお土産物屋さんでみつけたトレイ。

フィレンツェ名物のピノキオの人形や、マグネット、ポストカードなど、観光地によくありそうなお土産物屋さん。ふとみると、トレイが山積みになっているコーナーが。

ハンドメイドでイタリア製と書かれている。どれも色合いが奇麗。色も柄もさまざまな種類があって、とっても迷う！

予期していない出会いってうれしい。それが旅先ならなおさら。よろこびが2倍になるかんじ。

毎日、時計とピアスをつけるときとはずすとき、フィレンツェの楽しい想い出がよみがえる。
