FLORTÉ ~highly-recommended tea shop~

 

 I was looking for something from Hong Kong, which I can take with me when I was traveling in there.

 

メイドイン香港なものを家に連れて帰りたくて、香港をブラブラしているときに素敵なお店を発見。

 

 

 

"FLORTÉ" doesn't look like Hong Kong brand, but actually it is.

I popped in K11 located at Tsim Sha Tsui and found this beautiful shop.
The shop staff offered me to try some fruits-flavoured tea and I was amazed that they were incredibly juicy and fruity.


FLORTÉはチムサーチョイのK11というビルに入っている紅茶専門店。
いくつかのフレーバーティーを試飲させてもらい、フルーツジュースを飲んでるかのように果実を感じられる味にびっくり＆感動！

Especially I liked "Carribean Dreams" made of Hibiscus, Rosehip, Currants, Sunflower blossom, and what I really liked was apple, papaya, and pineapple pieces were inside, too.
That's why this tea tasted like a fruit juice.
Put some honey in it, and it would taste more fruity.

I'm not sure about the other flavours, but "Carribean Dreams" are made in Germany.

Besides, all packages are so pretty...


特に気に入ったのが、"Carribean Dreams"。名前のごとく、トロピカルな味。
ハイビスカス、ローズヒップ、スグリの実、ヒマワリの蕾などが入っている。
そして細かく切られた、リンゴ、パパイヤ、パイナップルの実がゴロゴロ。
これがフルーティーな味の秘密みたい。
はちみつを入れて少し甘くすると、よりフルーティーさが際立つ。

FLORTÉ自体は香港のブランドだけど、"Carribean Dreams"はドイツ産。

どれもパッケージも素敵でうっとり。。。

Unfortunately I cannot afford them in my country... What a pity...

If you can get them in yours, it's worth to try even just for once!

 

日本ではまだ買えるところがないのが残念。

香港に行った際にはぜひ！

Chinese Herbal Tea in Hong Kong ~香港の漢方茶~

A traditional Chinese medicine shop in Hong Kong.

Many People stopped by this shop and got a cup of  tea, so I also tried it.

There are 3 types.

Sweet Flower Tea, Bitter 24 Varieties Herbal Tea and American Ginseng Tea.

香港でみかけた漢方屋さん。

道行く人たちが漢方茶を買って飲んでいたので、私も気になって買ってみた。

種類は3種類。

甘い味の甜花茶、苦い味の24種類の漢方薬から作ったお茶、アメリカ人参茶。

The one I tried was Bitter 24 Varieties Herbal Tea.

The taste was... ooohhh,,,,bitter!!
（＞o＜）← My face turned to be like that.

First the herb taste came, and later the bitter taste followed...
But the taste was like "must be good for health".
So, I managed to drink it up hoping for my good health and beauty.

If there is this kind of shop in Japan, wanna drink it regularly.
Hopefully, will get used to the bitter taste with constant drink.
There are some shops of healthy drink even at the station.
I envy they can afford it easily.



試してみたのは、24種類の漢方薬からつくったお茶。

味は。。。うぅぅぅ、、、、苦い！！

飲んだ瞬間はハーブティーのような風味で、後味に苦みが。

でも、体に良い味がするから嫌いじゃないかも(笑）。

健康と美容に良いと信じて、なんとか完飲！

日本にこんなところがあったら定期的に飲みたいわ。

飲み続けたら苦みは慣れていきそう。

香港は地下鉄の駅にも、健康や美容に良さそうなジュースの専門店があったり、生活に根付いているかんじがうらやましい。

The shop name is "春回堂薬行".
Spotted along with Central-Mid-Levels escalators, almost at the bottom of it.

お店の名前は、春回堂薬行。

場所は、中環駅のヒルサイドエスカレーター沿い、上りのスタート地点近く。

Many local people were buying Chinese herbal medicine. Full of energy!

I could see their part of life style through of this shop.

お客さんが入れ代わり立ち代わり、活気に溢れていた。

香港の人にとって、漢方は生活の一部なんだろうなぁ。

If you are in Hong Kong, why don't you try it and be healthy?!

Afternoon Tea at The Peninsula

I spent in Hong Kong and Macau at the end of the year.

What I surprised most this time was that Christmas song and Christmas tree was everywhere in spite of after Christmas. So I enjoyed them unexpectedly.

The Christmas town was beautifully illuminated.

Especially, the illumination at The Peninsula was breathtaking.

After the beautiful lights steal your heart, the big Christmas tree welcomes you at the lobby.

Even the posts were decorated with the illumination, and the lobby was wrapped with the warm lights.

Happy and beautiful place...

年末を香港＆マカオで過ごしてきました。

今回驚いたのは、クリスマスを過ぎても、いたるところでクリスマスソングが流れていて、クリスマスツリーが飾られていたこと！あれ、まだクリスマスだっけ？と錯覚に陥るくらい、思いがけずクリスマス気分を味わえた。

クリスマス、ということでイルミネーションが綺麗だった香港。

そのなかでも、ペニンシュラホテルのイルミネーションは息をのむ美しさ。。。

エントランスの美しさに心奪われて、そのまま中に一歩足を踏み入れると、目の前に大きなツリーがお出迎え。

柱までもクリスマス仕様にデコレーションされていて、ロビー全体があたたかい光に包まれていた。

この空間にいるだけで、ほっこり幸せな気分。

We arrived at the Peninsula around 6 p.m. for having Afternoon Tea. 

I heard that there is always a long cue, but we could enter quite first because the afternoon tea service is closed at 6 p.m.

After the sunset, all the candles in the lobby are lit up. The lobby got more romantic.

Gracious time listening to the live music and song.

I was worried that it might be a bit noisy coz the restaurant is at the lobby. But we sat at the bottom of the lobby, so we could have a cozy time.

The taste of the afternoon tea was not that surprisingly delicious, but it's still good taste.

The desserts are not too sweet. I liked a lemon tart most. The meringue on the tart was soft and pleasantly sticky. It was the best meringue I've ever had.

ベッタベタに、ペニンシュラでアフタヌーンティーをしようということになって、18時頃に到着。アフタヌーンティーというか、イブニングティー。

かなり並ぶ覚悟で行ったのに、アフタヌーンティー終了ぎりぎりに行ったから、ほとんど並ばずに入れた。

陽が落ちると、ロビー中のキャンドルが灯されて、よりロマンチックに。

生演奏＆歌を聴きながら、優雅な時間。

このレストランはロビーにあるから、落ち着かないかもと心配したけど、入り口から離れたところに座れたおかげで、なかなかゆったり過ごせた。

アフタヌーンティーのお味は、飛び抜けておいしい！ってほどではなかったけど、普通においしい。デザートは甘さ控えめ。個人的にはレモンのタルトがおいしかった。上にのったメレンゲがモッチモチで、今まで食べたメレンゲのなかでいちばんだったなー。

The interior turned to be a New Year version at the New Year's Eve.
It's worth to visit this hotel even for seeing the decoration.

大みそかに再訪したら、内装がNew Yearバージョンに！
このホテルは目の保養に行くだけでも価値があるわ～。
